Events

The freeze fly is quickly approaching this year and will be held on January 1st.  Bring something to fly, and there will be plenty to eat and drink.

Quickie Racking

If anyone is interested in doing the Quickie 500 races please notify Skip Crain for further information.

Show and Tell

This month's show and tell was a Goldberg Eagle 2.  The airplane has been re-built and has new scratch built wings and tail surfaces.  After taking 8 oz. of weight off the airframe, it weighs 4 pounds with an O.S. 40 for power.

Safety Minute

Mike Hudak reported on several items that we should all make sure we don't do while flying. Taxing in the pits is not allowed, airplane tie downs are needed while starting engines, try to stay out and over from the pits while you're flying, and Mike also wanted to remind everyone that we are all safety officers and we all need to do our responsibilities while we're flying at the field.

Field Maintenance

Thanks to James Cistola, the shingles on the pavilion roof have been replaced.  Although, James said that the pavilion is still in need of some repairs and is going to get an estimate for those repairs.

Program

Carl Hauger brought a vintage video on the World War 2 trainer, PT-19.  It was a video describing the characteristics on the airplane and how it compared to others at the time.  It also featured Fairchild history and factory scenes of aircraft and engine manufacturing.

WRAM Show

There are plenty of seats left for anyone that would like to go on the WRAM Show trip.  It will be taking place on February 21st, so hurry up and get your seats.

50/50

The 50/50 was $20 won by Mike Hudak

Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned at 8:33PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

Ryan Jamison, Secretary
