The Delaware R/C Club flying field is located at Lum's Pond State Park, Kirkwood Delaware on Red Lion Road (Rt. 71) near the entrance to the campgrounds.
Hours of Operation
Internal Combustion and Loud Electrics
(Ducted Fan and Small High Speed Props)
- Sunday - Thursday:
- 10AM until Dusk
- Friday and Saturday:
- 10AM until 6 PM
- Day before Holidays:
- 10AM until 6PM
Quiet Electrics
- Monday - Sunday:
- 8AM until 10PM.
About the Field
You must be a member of the AMA and a member the Delaware R/C Club (or a guest of a member) to fly at the field. Visitors are always welcome. Come see what the fun's all about!
Members must also have a year-round parking sticker for Delaware State Parks. Visitors/guests must have at least a day pass.
Our Flying Field is solely maintained by the Delaware R/C Club and its members. No taxpayer dollars are used to maintain this site.
We have two grass runways:
- Fixed-wing: for airplanes of all sizes/engine types. This runway is on the east end of the site and runs north to south.
- Helis, drones, and micros: The runway is on the north end of the site and runs east to west.
